Make creativity an expectation, not an extra

Business leaders need to make it clear that creative thinking is expected of all their workers, writes Edward de Bono. Set aside a quarter-hour at the end of every meeting to discuss new ideas, he advises, and hold people accountable if they have nothing to offer. "If new ideas are an expectation ... then people will make an effort to have new ideas," he says.
