Some small businesses refuse to accept credit cards with high transaction fees, but does that really save them money? "When a customer hands you a charge card, you are engaged in one of the final elements of providing customer service," writes Jay Goltz, who suggests that many companies may lose repeat business when they tell a customer, "No, we want you to use a different card."
